PHH NE Ohio Chapter Restores Roof and Garage for Veteran Norman S.

Last Updated 1/28/2025Posted in NE Ohio Chapter Projects, Chapter Projects

Norman S. is a US Army Veteran. He retired as a Major and then became a school teacher. When he retired from teaching he became a volunteer for his local church, and is still very active today. His home was built by his grandfather, and he has lived there since he left the Army. We are all very happy to provide Norman with a new roof on his home. Legacy Roofing also went above and beyond and replaced the roof on his detached garage. It was blown off last year in a storm and made his garage un-usable. In addition, Legacy Roofing also supplied lunch for all of the crew and volunteers. This is the 3rd roofing project we have done with Owens Corning since December of 2023. We are very grateful to Owens Corning for their partnership with Purple Heart Homes and our Mission to help US Veterans remain living safely, and with dignity, in their own home.
