PHH NE Ohio Remodels Bathroom for Veterans Safety and Comfort

Last Updated 1/28/2025Posted in NE Ohio Chapter Projects, Chapter Projects

a US Marine Corp - Vietnam Veteran with a Bad Back. Marc C had back surgery recently and needed help with a bathroom remodel. Getting in and out of the bathtub was dangerous due to the potential for a fall. With a Grant from Semper Fi & America's Fund, HISA thru the VA, and Purple Heart Homes Northeast Ohio Chapter, we were able to remodel Marc's bathroom so that he no longer has to worry about his safety. In addition to the new Walk-In Shower, there is a new toilet and vanity/sink that are raised up to help take the strain off his back. A new floor, medicine cabinet/mirror, light fixtures, ceiling fan and heat lamp, and paint. Thanks to Pete Serio from Serio Remodeling, and his friend Bob Wodarczyk ( aka "Woody") for their outstanding work and professionalism in completing this project. They did an outstanding job and I hope they will continue to support Purple Heart Homes NEO Chapter.
