Last Updated 1/29/2025Posted in NE Ohio Chapter Projects, Chapter Projects

Meet Judy Z. She is a very proud member of the US Marine Corp and served on Active duty from 1981-1984. She was part of the US invasion of Grenada in 1983. She suffers from PTS as a result of some experiences during her military service. She does not feel safe to go out into her own backyard so she can feed the birds and work in her garden. With help from The Home Depot Foundation, and Purple Heart Homes NEO Chapter, we installed 340 feet of 6' tall privacy fence on both sides of her yard. She can now go outside in peace, without fear, and enjoy her garden. In a recent conversation with Judy she told us we have given her peace of mind and safety when she goes outside.
